Welcome to the Cambridge FFA Page!
The Cambridge FFA chapter is an intergral part of the Cambridge Agriculture Department. The chapter is a national award-
winning chapter, consistently earning recognition for its numerous activities for participants, the chapter and local community
members. In 2007, the chapter was recognized as one of the top 10 Model of Innovation chapters in the nation. Over the
years, many of our members have earned the American FFA degree (the highest level of membership since 1994).
The chapter is also known for its competitive teams in various FFA career development events...consistently sending teams to
compete at the annual National FFA Convention. Our members learn career skills in a variety of areas including, but not
limited to, leadership, natural resources, horticulture, animal science and ag mechanics.
Our members are required to have a Supervised Agricultural Experience project to build career skills. Projects include a
variety of opportunities including livestock, floriculture, horticulture, and work experience. They have earned recognition for
these projects through proficiency awards at the local, regional, state and national levels. Although we are a small school, we
have been able to offer many opportunities for our members to excel. Four members have earned the top four honors at the
national level...with two garnishing the title of National Winners!
FFA members are also responsible for running the award-winning Cambridge Ag Department Floral Shop. This is a full-service
floral shop that provides fresh flowers and ballons for the community of Cambridge. Members also grow and sell thousands of
bedding plans and hanging baskets each spring.
Community service is an important aspect of the chapter. Members man the high school concessions, work with the
Cambridge FFA Alumni in various fundraisers, work in the annual town cleanup and a variety of other projects.
One benefit of FFA membership is the fantastic scholarship opportunities available to our members. For the past three years,
every graduating senior from Cambridge who applied has received an Alumni Scholarship. The National FFA scholarship
program annually spends over $1 million for FFA members around the nation.
